How to get your castanet size

In our castanets¨Castañuelas del Sur¨ there are the following sizes available:

Amateur Collection

Nº 4: Normal size (It is the standard size for children aged 10-15 years and women with a normal hand)
Nº 6: Small size (It is a small size for children up to 10 years of age and women with a smaller hand than usual)

Semi-professional Collection (Model Concierto)

Nº 4: Normal size (It is the standard size for children aged 10-15 and women with a normal hand)
Nº 6: Small size (It is a small size for children up to 10 years of age and women with a smaller hand than usual)

Professional Collection

Nº 3: Large (It is the standard size for men and women with a bigger hand than usual)
Nº 5: Normal (It is the standard size mostly preferred by female dancers)
Nº 7: Small (It is a small size for children up to 10 years of age and women with a small hand)

Although size selection is a personal choice, we offer you clear instructions on how to measure your palm and convert centimeters into sizes:

Please measure the width of your palm starting from point A to point B so you can get your castanet size as accurate as possible:

Αs a rule of thumb in professional collection we recommend No 3 for men and No 5 for women.

Please keep in mind that the castanet size in the professional collection may slightly vary (only few millimeters) depending on the model selected (as per the size tables below). This happens because they are carefully handcrafted masterpieces.
